ESTEEM Honor Roll Program

The ESTEEM Honor Roll Incentive Program, initiated in 2004, to reward public housing students who make the A & B honor roll in school, grades K-4 through 12th.

The name ESTEEM is an acronym for Encouraging Students to Exhibit Excellent Minds. Our mission is to keep these bright minds excited about learning and to offer them rewards throughout the school year for making good grades. The program also encourages other students to try harder to achieve the honor roll.

How ESTEEM Support Students

For nearly two decades, the ESTEEM students have traveled Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia, enjoying educational and recreational outings such as the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Lake Winnepesaukah in Chattanooga, Stars & Strikes in Huntsville, touring college and university campuses, movie parties, bowling parties, skating parties, and nice dining restaurants.

Often, these outings are the first-time many students have visited, and or traveled outside of Gadsden.

Several ESTEEM students have graduated from high school and are now attending college.
Some have graduated from college and are now rising entrepreneurs or have successful careers.
Our most recent graduate will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, well-equipped with a new laptop, and accessories provided by the ESTEEM program.
