After submitting your online application, please call the Central Office to schedule your interview appointment. If we do not hear from you within 7 days, your application will become inactive. Please keep us updated with any changes in the household (phone numbers, addresses, etc.).

Eligibility

The term (qualifying) refers to applicants who are eligible and able to meet the applicant selection standards.
It is the HA’s plan to admit only qualified applicants.

An applicant is qualified if he or she meets all of the following criteria:
  • A family, as defined in the appendix.
  • Meets HUD requirements on citizenship or immigration status.
  • Has an annual income (as defined in appendix A of the Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy) at the time of admission that does not exceed the income limits (maximum incomes by family size established by HUD) posted in the HA offices and on this website.
  • Provides documentation of Social Security numbers for family members or certifies that they do not have Social Security numbers (Citizens and lawfully present noncitizens who state that they have not been assigned a SSN by the SSA, should make such declaration in writing and under penalties of perjury to the PHA. The PHA should maintain the declaration in the tenant file).
  • Meets the Applicant Selection Criteria including completing the HA approved pre-occupancy orientation session if requested.

Required Documents

The following is a list of documents that you must bring with you when you come for your interview.

Documents to bring with you:

  • Birth certificates, picture ID, Driver License
  • Social Security Cards
  • All final divorce decrees
  • Marriage certificate
  • Most current landlord's name and complete mailing address
  • Employer's name and complete mailing address (Pay Stubs)
  • Most recent Social Security/SSI printout
  • Veterans benefit printout/award letter
  • Food Stamp Letter
  • Current banks statements (2 months)
