Work orders may be reported to the Housing Authority from 7:00 am until 5:30pm Monday through Thursday except for holidays and to the answering service at all other times by dialing 256-547-2505 (automatically forwards to the answering service).
Routine work orders are those that do not fall within the guidelines of the emergency category.
This would include general repairs requested by residents such as dripping faucets, broken cabinets, interior door issues, screen doors, etc.
Routine Work Orders will generally be completed within seven (7) days and are responded to between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday except for holidays.
An Emergency issue is one that, if not dealt with promptly, could cause injury, loss of life, threaten health or cause serious property damage.
Examples of such issues are: Leaking or broken gas lines, fires, loss of all power, broken water lines, exposed electrical lines, no heat (when the outdoor temperature is below 49-degrees F), no air conditioning (when the outdoor temperature exceeds 82-degrees F for residents with documented health conditions ONLY), lockouts, broken exterior door locks or other conditions that might cause harm to the resident/others or damage to property.
Emergency work will be completed immediately or, if that is not possible, within 24-hours seven days a week.
Examples include lockouts and resident caused overflowing toilets.
Please notify maintenance of all needed repairs. Repairs required due to normal wear and tear are provided at no cost to residents.
